


GIOVANNI MARTINELLI
Giovanni Martinelli was born in 1998 in Alessandria. He began studying
the guitar with Marco Silletti and graduated with top marks and honours
in Luigi Biscaldi's class at the Conservatorio ‘G. Cantelli’ in Novara. He is
currently studying with Judicaël Perroy at the Haute Ecole de Musique in
Geneva.
He has given concerts as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in Italy and
abroad.
Particularly attentive to contemporary music, he is dedicatee of works by
Angelo Gilardino, Edoardo Dadone, Kevin Swierkosz-Lenart, Marco Smaili,
Paolo Ghiglione, Sara Stevanovic, Oscar Bellomo, Riccardo Perugini,
Cristiano Porqueddu.
He worked with Roberta Invernizzi, Marco Angius, Claudio Lugo, Livia
Rado, Greta Fisler, Edoardo Dadone, Stefania Masala, Patrick Rossi
Gastaldi, Lorenzo Micheli Pucci, Caméra Musique, Ensemble Baroco di
Napoli, AltreVoci Ensemble.
In 2021 he debuted with the album ‘Tellur’ (DotGuitar), containing music
by Kevin Swierkosz-Lenart, Dusan Bogdanović, Angelo Gilardino, Giorgio
Colombo Taccani, Toru Takemitsu, Tristan Murail. In the same year, he
recorded Edoardo Dadone's ‘Trittico’ for the Divertimento Ensemble's
monographic disc ‘Sine Sole Sileo’ (Stradivarius).
